O'NEIL EDWARDS from VOICEMAIL DIED.

Since may 10, O'neil Edward (a third of the dancehall group Voicemail) has been battling for life after he was shot several times at the gate to his house in Duhaney Park, Kingston.

Northern Lights, like the entire dancehall community, is close to his Family, his wife and his 2 months daughter.
As a sound we used to push voicemail tunes whenever we got the chance becouse those songs rappresent our way of having fun in the dancehall.
We appriciate every single line by O'Neil, the italian massive got the chance to see him performing last summer @ the Rototom Sunsplash reggae festival: instead of glorify guns and badman attitude, the latest moves, the fanciest clothes etc are Voicemail arguments.
In a violent country like Jamaica this kind of arguments singed in a song might be the smartest way to keep the everyday-violence away from the music business.

We need a new Jamaica. Bottom line.
